Who can join the SEED Leadership Program?
During the 2012-2013 academic year SEED will be in the pilot program phase. A small group of Mason students will be selected to participate as the inaugural SEED cohort. In the future, all Mason students interested in developing as leaders will be eligible to apply to become a part of SEED. The program will include students from as many diverse backgrounds as possible. As the program and opportunities expand the program will be implemented across a student’s undergraduate career (it can also be tailored to graduate students).
To be eligible for consideration for membership in the pilot year of SEED (2012-2013), a Mason student must:
1) be nominated; 2) be currently be enrolled as a full-time student at Mason; 3) have maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least a 2.0; 4) register for the Active Leaders Program in Fall 2012 ; 5) be of exemplary character

What is the time commitment?
For the SEED pilot program phase students must commit to being part of the program for the academic year: Fall 2012-Spring 2013.
Student who are part of the SEED pilot program need to complete the Active Leaders Program, which is a 10-week leadership development program through the LEAD office (Fridays from 10am-Noon starting Friday, Sept 21 and ending on Friday, Nov 30
For students who are involved in leadership programs, events and courses at Mason, much of what you are already doing can count towards the SEED Leadership Program requirements. More details will be discussed during the Active Leaders Program.
How does the point system work?
Students in the SEED Leadership Program collect points for various leadership programs, events and courses at Mason and are encouraged to make links between their diverse experiences. More details will be discussed during the Active Leaders Program.
