Introducing The SEED Program

20 07 2012

The SEED Leadership Program will prepare Mason students to be leaders with a commitment to service, ethics, engagement and diversity.  The program will link the curricular and co-curricular components of the university allowing for theory and practice to be integrated in a student leadership laboratory.  There are four guiding principles, which are woven throughout the program: Service, Ethics, Engagement and Diversity.  The program is structured into four stages (mirroring Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle), which balance structure with flexibility since students will be able to go through the stages in the order of their choosing. The SEED program incorporates elements from the Social Change Model (SCM), Relational Leadership Model (RLM) and Leadership Identity Development Model (LID).
